Simulation-Based Optimization of Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery with a Model Integrating Temperature, Pressure, and Salinity Effects

The microbial enhanced oil recovery (MEOR) method is an eco-friendly and economical alternative technology. technology involves a variety of uncertainties, its success depends on controlling growth metabolism. Though few numerical studies have been carried out to reduce the no attempt has made consider temperature, pressure, salinity in integrated manner. In this study, new modeling incorporating these environmental impacts was proposed, MEOR analysis performed. As result, accurate possible prevent overestimating performance MEOR. addition, maximized through sensitivity optimization based integrative model. Finally, applying actual reservoir model showed 7% increase compared waterflooding. This result proved practical applicability method.
